Operations Manager – Harrison Family Vets
We are a proudly family-owned and independent group of veterinary practices expanding across England.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to join our family. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and support several of our modern, purpose-built clinics across the north of England. You’ll work closely with our Operations Director, Clinic Directors and teams to ensure each clinic runs smoothly and delivers excellent pet healthcare and client care.
You will be part of our lovely close-knit Central Support Team, working once per week from our Leeds office (with our People, Finance and Marketing team).
Responsibilities:
- Providing hands-on support and leadership to multiple clinics- regularly travelling between clinics
- Play an active role in supporting new clinic openings
- Work closely with the Clinic Directors to ensure budgets are met and maximise the financial performance of the clinics – being jointly responsible for practice performance
- Work closely with the People and Marketing teams- supporting with recruitment, general people management and marketing/ promotion of clinics
- Ensuring compliance with H&S and company standards
- Acting as an ambassador for Harrison Family Vets.
About You
- Strong background in operations management and working with multiple veterinary clinics- love helping teams perform at their best
- Excellent leadership skills and a natural relationship-builder
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on quality and care- experience with P&L reporting, budgets, people management etc.

FEAR FREE
We understand that pets are part of the family, so as standard our teams are accredited ‘Fear Free’ professionals who can prevent and alleviate potential fear and stress experienced by your pets during their visit. To achieve this, amongst many other things, our ward areas have classical music playing and softer lighting than that of clinical areas, plus stress-relieving pheromone plug ins are used throughout our wards and wider clinic.
We understand the differing needs of species and as such our cat wards have individual hideaway units so that they may feel more secure, weighing scales are covered with fake grass to be more appealing to our canine patients, and we obviously use an abundance of delicious and distracting treats to distract to make the journey as stress free as possible for all.
