Practice Manager – Kingswinford
Harrison Family Vets are looking for a Practice Manager to join our Kingswinford team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running, growth, and continued success of our modern veterinary practice.

About the Role
As Practice Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the practice, ensuring we deliver excellent client service and support our clinical team to provide the highest standards of care. You will work very closely alongside the Senior Vet, Head Nurse and Operations Director:
- Managing and supporting the client care and clinical teams
- People management – conduct appraisals, 1:1 meeting and performance management meetings, and helping with recruitment
- Ensure that monthly team meetings are held to discuss any team issues, practice efficiencies, client experience, local issues and attend regular meeting with Managing and Operations Directors
- Overseeing rotas and managing holidays, CPD, overtime etc.
- Managing budgets, financial reporting, and stock control- working alongside senior vets to make sure clinic budgets are achieved, and P&L statements are monitored carefully
- Ensuring compliance with RCVS and Health & Safety standards
- Developing processes to improve efficiency and client experience
- Championing Fear Free.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in people management (ideally within the Veterinary industry)
- A confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Someone with passion and enthusiasm for the veterinary industry
- Approachable, supportive, and able to build positive relationships across the team.
- Business-minded, with a good understanding of financial and operational management.
- Adaptable, proactive, and ready to take ownership of challenges.

FEAR FREE
We understand that pets are part of the family, so as standard our teams are accredited ‘Fear Free’ professionals who can prevent and alleviate potential fear and stress experienced by your pets during their visit. To achieve this, amongst many other things, our ward areas have classical music playing and softer lighting than that of clinical areas, plus stress-relieving pheromone plug ins are used throughout our wards and wider clinic.
We understand the differing needs of species and as such our cat wards have individual hideaway units so that they may feel more secure, weighing scales are covered with fake grass to be more appealing to our canine patients, and we obviously use an abundance of delicious and distracting treats to distract to make the journey as stress free as possible for all.
